Sangrita Grill & Cantina Announces Exciting New Era with Josh Ratliff and Upland Hospitality 

Popular Indianapolis Restaurant to Undergo Brief Closure for Menu and Guest Experience Enhancements

FISHERS, IN – Sangrita Grill & Cantina is thrilled to announce a transformative new chapter as Josh Ratliff, the restaurateur behind BlackSheep Craft Pizza & Cocktails, joins the team to elevate the beloved cantina into its next era of excellence. 

In response to valued guest feedback, Sangrita will undergo exciting improvements to its menu, beverage program, and overall guest experience. To facilitate this refresh, the restaurant will close Monday, May 25th at 8:00 PM and reopen with enhanced offerings on Saturday, May 30th at 11:00 AM. 

"We’re taking Sangrita to the coast — beachside grill and cevicherías, celebrating authenticity in the ways people tend to overlook, like the Caesar salad being a Tijuana original. We’ve also built something one-of-a-kind: an 80-bottle tequila and mezcal program, all additive-free, paired with fruit and chocolate,” said Ratliff. “I’ve personally tasted every spirit on the list and I stand behind it as a great way to take the next step in your tequila journey, wherever that takes you. Tex-Mex has its place — but we want you to taste and smile, not just feel full. ¡Sabor y sonríe!" 

As part of this transition, Sangrita Grill & Cantina will join the Upland Hospitality family of restaurants, which includes Upland Brewing Company, BlackSheep Craft Pizza & Cocktails, CV Tap House & Kitchen, and CV Proper Kitchen & Bar, among other distinguished hospitality ventures. 

The brief closure will allow the team to thoughtfully implement menu enhancements, refine the beverage program, and ensure every detail of the guest experience reflects the elevated standards Upland Hospitality is known for throughout Indiana and beyond. 

Sangrita Grill & Cantina looks forward to welcoming guests back on May 30th to experience the reimagined restaurant.
